Dr. Raajiv Maher

Dr Maher values continuity of care and preventative medicine, aiming to support patients in achieving long-term health and wellbeing.
Dr Maher attended Durham University and Newcastle University, subsequently graduating from Medical School in 2011. He completed postgraduate rotations which included surgery, anaesthetics, medicine, paediatrics, psychiatry, and ophthalmology.
He achieved Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2016 and subsequently attained Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He has completed the Surgical Skills course from the Royal College of Surgeons and the Step 1 United States Medical Licensing Examination. Dr Maher enjoys teaching and was an early clinical years tutor at medical schools in the North West and North East of England, and currently continues to offer online peer support and teaching for the USMLE Step 1 examination for international applicants.
Dr Maher has a particular interest in skin health and holds a Diploma and Master’s degree (both with Merit) in Clinical Dermatology from Queen Mary University of London and King’s College London, respectively. He provides skin checks and offers minor surgery for skin lesions, including lumps and bumps. He additionally provides botulinum toxin (Botox) treatment for excessive underarm sweating (axillary hyperhidrosis).
Dr Maher has additional training in musculoskeletal medicine from the Australian Association of Musculoskeletal Medicine and offers interventions such as joint injections. Dr Maher is trained in ear microsuction, and also offers irrigation.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and young child, and staying active with family walks and cycling.
