Gynaecology Service

Overview

We at Indigo recognise that there is much to do to support women at all stages of their lives, and have created a primary care-based Women’s Health Clinic to try and address and support women’s health needs.

We are supporters of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology who have produced a report outlining a national strategy to help support women’s health.

Symptoms relating to women’s health, including fertility, contraception, bleeding problems, menopause, and issues with continence and pelvic health, can have a significant impact on women and their ability to work and live happy, healthy lives.

Indigo GP practice have shown commitment to women’s health care by providing on-site, high-quality ultrasound imaging, vital for the rapid diagnosis and management of many conditions.

We aim to hold One Stop clinics, with 30 minute appointments as the norm. We recognise that many problems require in depth discussion and we can see women from any of the Island’s GP practices. You can be referred by your own GP, or book yourself using our contact details.

With your agreement, we will share our findings and plans with your own GP or hospital consultant, who in most cases will be able to continue the proposed care plan.
